About ESL
Welcome

Easy Student Life (ESL) is a blog with lots of survival tips and facts for foreign students who will be or are currently studying abroad within the United States.
Many foreign students may have never left their parents and/or home countries before. When it comes to studying abroad, some may get excited with starting a new life, but some may get nervous with the idea of surviving without their parents and friends around.
My name is Annis Leung, and I have studied and worked in the US since 1995. Recently, I am back to school again to pursue my Master’s Degree in Arts and Technology at University of Texas at Dallas (UTD). I would want to share my personal experience with any foreign students concerning the new life that they are about to face. Starting from the preparations that are necessary prior to their arrivals, the obstacles as well as joy that foreign students will experience when they first enter a foreign country, to concrete recommendations that can help them in overcoming worries, culture shock, or even language barrier can all be found here within ESL!
Why Easy Student Life (ESL?)
If you are foreign students, you may have heard of a program called “English as a Second Language,” which abbreviates to ESL. ESL is offered for international students who need to improve their English speaking, writing as well as listening skills; it is provided in order to help foreign students to reach English proficiency as they engage in higher education. Since the abbreviation, “ESL,” is widely being used in the foreign student environment, it seems advantageous to me to use it as my blog name as well. Not to mention, my goal is to help foreign students to adapt their new environment in the US. Here it comes – Easy Student Life (ESL.)
